The Hankook W462 Winter i Cept RS3 winter tire belongs to the friction type and is designed for installation on compact and medium-sized passenger vehicles. It is characterized by stable driving characteristics on snowy and slippery roads, effectively protecting against hydroplaning.
The model has a classic directional tread pattern of the V-type, which has one significant addition. Large slits are arranged diagonally in the opposite direction of movement. Their task is to stabilize the vehicle on snowy sections with improved traction characteristics. All block structures are densely covered with serrated lamellas, which increase the stiffness of the elements during maneuvers, and also create additional gripping surfaces. The latter is especially effective when stopping on snow, significantly reducing the braking distance.
The highly efficient drainage system can handle large volumes of water and slush, quickly evacuating them from the contact area. In combination with a high percentage of high-dispersion silica in the compound, this increases resistance to hydroplaning, maintaining a high level of driving safety.
