The Continental ContiProContact TX summer tire is a universal touring tire suitable for passenger cars, including those equipped with hybrid or fully electric powertrains. It is characterized by balanced driving properties, demonstrating, along with precise handling and reliable traction at any speed, a quiet and smooth ride, fuel efficiency, and resistance to abrasive wear.
All versions of this model feature the SSR technology, which is the company's proprietary version of Runflat. This means that the tire is capable of maintaining its functionality even after a complete loss of air pressure inside. This is achieved due to the high load-carrying capacity of the sidewalls and a special rim profile that prevents the tire from coming off the wheel rim. This feature also provides improved handling precision, directional stability, and traction at high speeds due to very tight fixation. Another advantage of this solution is the creation of approximately 80 liters of additional space in the trunk and a reduction in the vehicle's weight, which slightly reduces fuel consumption.
Another feature of this model is the presence of ContiSilent technology in many sizes. This is also a proprietary development of the German concern, designed to reduce noise in the car's cabin on roads with poor surface quality. It is implemented in the form of polyurethane foam, a layer of which is fixed on the inner side of the tire using an adhesive. Over a very wide temperature range, this material retains its porous structure, absorbing almost all noise and vibrations generated by the tire's internal components and its tread pattern.
Key Features of Continental ContiProContact TX
- Improved handling precision due to reliable tire fixation on the wheel rim, optimized tread profile, and enhanced brake performance;
- numerous lamellae and grooves ensure reliable traction on wet surfaces;
- reinforced sidewalls allow for continued movement in the event of a complete loss of air pressure inside the tire due to a puncture
