Continental ContiPremiumContact 7
Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Continental ContiPremiumContact 7
Summer tire for passenger cars Continental ContiPremiumContact 7, like its predecessors, is distinguished by balanced characteristics. But at the same time, a number of them have been significantly improved. It is characterized by a new level of grip on dry and wet surfaces, comfort in handling, regardless of the type of drive and transmission, and braking efficiency.
The asymmetric tread pattern is notable for its increased outer shoulder area, which features composite P-shaped "macro-blocks". These elements improve stability and handling precision when maneuvering, allowing for high-speed cornering. It's worth noting the increased volume of longitudinal grooves in the central part and transverse grooves along the edges of the tread. The latter have a shape that further increases the intensity of water drainage. As a result, excellent resistance to aquaplaning is ensured.
The tire's tread is made from the RedChili rubber compound. Its key difference from the BlackChili compound is an increased range of "working" temperatures. The mixture literally skips the warm-up phase, becoming effective almost from the first minutes of driving. Its application allowed for a significant improvement in braking properties.
Key features of Continental ContiPremiumContact 7
- increased "macro-blocks" in the shoulder areas provide stability and handling precision in corners;
- the RedChili rubber compound works from the first minutes of driving, reducing the braking distance;
- the special profile shape of the tread, variable tread thickness, provide an excellent balance between comfort, handling, and wear resistance.
Technologies

Whether you want to take your family on a summer trip in your sedan or simply enjoy driving your electric hot hatch, the PremiumContact 7 system provides exceptional comfort, reliable safety, and increased mileage regardless of the vehicle configuration. Because we believe that first-class driving sensations should not depend on the type of vehicle you drive.

I bought tires made in Romania, they are soft, don't feel the rut, handling is excellent, in general, everything is ideal, except for a strong hum at speeds from 125 km/h to 190 km/h, it feels like a plane is taking off.

The tires are excellent, the price is not attractive, but it was thought that if it's Conti, then it's something good. In fact, the rubber is excellent, if not for one thing, but in particular, in Russia, 80% of old road surfaces have coarse-grained asphalt and on it, the tire just howls very loudly. At first, I thought that all 4 wheel hubs were screaming, then I got on new fine-grained asphalt and here it showed all its advantages, very quiet, really very quiet tire, but on good asphalt. Otherwise, you have to suffer from extra noise.

- Short braking distance and good handling in any conditions
- Reduced comfort level (not the most efficient in terms of vibration absorption when driving over large obstacles)
- Tires work well in any conditions, and comfort, apparently, was sacrificed a bit intentionally for the sake of increasing grip and safety

- Good handling and short braking distance on wet pavement
Short braking distance on dry pavement
Excellent resistance to lateral aquaplaning
Very good level of acoustic comfort
- A slight tendency to understeer on dry pavement
- Continental tires traditionally demonstrate a good balance of characteristics, but the picture is slightly spoiled by the insufficient steerability on a dry surface

Summer Tire Test 225/55 R18 3
- Publisher:

- Year:

- Very short braking distance on dry and wet surfaces
Good handling on wet surfaces
- Relatively low resistance to longitudinal aquaplaning
Increased rolling resistance
- Very effective in terms of braking in any weather, and on a wet road also provide excellent handling, while on a dry one there is a certain tendency to sharp loss of traction. It is also worth considering not the best resistance to aquaplaning on a straight
