Description Continental ContiEcoContact 7 S
Like previous models, the Continental ContiEcoContact 7 S summer tire for passenger cars belongs to the so-called "green" tires. It is characterized by an extremely low rolling resistance, an increased lifespan, along with reliable handling on dry and wet surfaces, efficient braking in any conditions, acoustic comfort, and smooth ride.
Optimized Frame
One of the key innovations was the optimized frame structure. With an extremely small weight, which is achieved through the use of lightweight polymer materials and cord manufacturing technologies, it prevents tire deformation while driving, thereby minimizing rolling resistance. An additional effect is achieved due to the presence of spherical depressions on the edges of the tread, which reduce air resistance, also reducing kinetic energy losses while driving.
High Level of Acoustic Comfort
Another feature of the tire is the use of the Silent Pattern technology. The proven solution is a combination of shapes, sizes, and arrangement of tread pattern elements, which achieves a minimal level of noise and vibrations. Additional increase in the level of acoustic comfort was achieved due to the presence of special design grooves between the blocks in the central part, which prevent sound wave reflection.
Special Rubber Compound
In turn, a unique distinction of this tire from other "green" line models was the rubber compound. It is a special version of the Green Chili compound of the third iteration, which, like its standard version, has a pronounced ability to reduce rolling resistance, but at the same time stands out with increased elasticity, which adds grip to the tire. This allows it to be used in cars with increased dynamic characteristics, giving the opportunity to realize their full potential in terms of handling.
Key Features of Continental ContiEcoContact 7 S
- optimized frame structure, the use of advanced polymer materials and cord manufacturing technologies in its design provide the tire with resistance to deformation, improving grip and handling, reducing energy losses while driving;
- high level of acoustic comfort due to the use of special grooves that prevent sound wave reflection, the application of computer modeling technology in the development of the tread pattern design;
- special version of the Green Chili rubber compound of the third iteration, which, due to increased elasticity, enhances grip during dynamic maneuvering, providing the possibility of using the tire in the most powerful cars with electric power units;
- sporty-honed handling and stability in turns, low tendency to uneven wear, thanks to "macro-blocks", massive elements of the tread pattern, located along its edges
