Original design of the central part of the tread

A significant part of the original design of the asymmetric directional tread pattern is provided by the unusual structure of the central part. It is distinguished by very massive dimensions and a composite structure containing many sheet-like blocks. This design provides the Ceat Formula tire with a number of important advantages. First of all, it's very high accuracy and lightning-fast response to even the smallest turns of the steering wheel. Also, it's impossible not to notice the excellent directional stability and low rolling resistance, which are achieved due to the resistance of the central longitudinal rib to dynamic deformation.

Increased stability in turns

In turn, the shoulder areas of the tread differ from the central part with a more restrained design. Its characteristic features are massive dimensions and the presence of a large number of engagement edges, which are formed by numerous rectangular blocks and straight lamellas. At the same time, they are mostly arranged transversely. This design feature provides the tire with a short braking distance, especially on wet roads, as well as excellent acceleration performance.

It's also worth noting the very high resistance of this part of the tread to dynamic deformation. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates excellent resistance to lateral skidding, which allows for more confident execution of sharp maneuvers and passage of turns. In addition, such a design of the shoulder areas contributes to the optimization of the distribution of external pressure over the contact patch, which, in turn, increases the resistance of the tread to uneven wear, thereby extending the life of the tire.
