The tread pattern is notable for the use of two types of lamellas. In the shoulder zones, straight cuts are used. The elongated transverse edges formed by them increase traction and braking properties on wet pavement, improving stability when maneuvering and resisting hydroplaning. The central part features 3D lamellas with serrated edges. These cuts increase the effectiveness of the tread on wet and snowy pavement. The "three-dimensional" profile of the vertical walls of the cuts not only fixes them in the open position when in contact with the road surface but also limits the mobility of the blocks, ensuring stability of the traction properties and precision handling on any slippery surface.
Another feature is the characteristics of the compound used in the manufacture of this tire. It does not become brittle at low temperatures, allowing the numerous edges of the tread pattern elements to adhere more closely to the road surface, enhancing traction properties on wet and snowy pavement. In the summer, the heat affecting the tread does not cause it to dry out and develop small cracks. All this, as well as excellent resistance to abrasive wear, is due to the presence of a large amount of "silica" and a polymer complex that, at the molecular level, increases the strength of the rubber mixture against tearing and stretching, preserving its integrity during intense heating and cooling.
