Porous compound
The tread part of the tire is made from Active Foam Rubber, a 2nd generation rubber compound with a porous structure and numerous voids. Compared to the previous version, these voids have become even smaller, allowing the tread to dry the contact patch much more intensively. At the same time, the texture of the tire surface with small irregularities provides reliable traction with the road surface. Another innovation of the rubber compound is the use of fine silica particles in combination with the latest polymers. This guarantees the uniform distribution of components in the compound structure and high strength of molecular bonds between them. As a result, the rubber compound is distinguished by excellent elasticity at negative temperatures, simultaneously with resistance to mechanical damage, prolonged heating, and abrasive wear.
Tread pattern with triangular blocks
The design of the tread part is distinguished by the use of large triangular blocks in the central part. Due to their shape, they contain elongated inclined edges, which increase the traction force and intensity of braking on snow and wet surfaces. At the same time, the massiveness and rigidity of the blocks provide directional stability at high speed and reduce rolling resistance, and their "checkered" arrangement increases the size of the contact patch.
Increased number of longitudinal grooves
Compared to the previous model, the number of longitudinal grooves has been increased to four. They are connected by a network of transverse drainage elements, which allows water and a heavy mixture of it with meltwater and road dirt to be removed from the contact patch with very high intensity.
