Tires on Plymouth Grand Voyager (Плимут)

Plymouth Grand Voyager debuted in the lineup of the North American brand in 1987. It was an extended version of the same-name minivan offered under other brands owned by Chrysler.

First Generation

The car, introduced in May 1987, was built on the same platform as the original Voyager, but in a modernized version with an extended wheelbase. Most of the extra space was behind the second-row seats, increasing the trunk volume, which was critically small in the 7-seater versions. Another difference from the original model was the trim levels. The car offered only two of them, with the largest number of available options, including two three-seat sofas in the second and third rows, bringing the car's capacity to 8 people. Additionally, there was a choice between fabric and vinyl upholstery.

Second Generation

In 1991, sales of the second-generation minivan began. It was built on the new-at-the-time Chrysler K platform, and the body design also changed, retaining the characteristic features of the previous model with a sloping hood line and a nearly vertical stern. Another feature was a more noticeable differentiation of trim levels. In particular, natural leather seat upholstery was available only for the LE version, along with the Quad Command equipment package, which included "captain's" chairs in the second row and "sports" seats for the driver and front passenger.

Third Generation

The third-generation minivan, introduced in 1996, was again built on a new platform, but using other components, losing any connection with previous models in terms of technology. Additionally, the body design was completely redesigned, featuring streamlined shapes that provided not only excellent aerodynamics for a large car but also a significantly reduced noise level at high speeds. For the first time in the model's history, the car was equipped with a sliding door on the driver's side.

However, the key difference from the predecessor was the change in positioning. The minivan was offered as an affordable alternative to the Dodge Caravan, even in terms of body design. It was distinguished by the use of dark gray bumpers, moldings, and a radiator grille, regardless of the color of the metal panels. The equipment was also significantly simplified. Unlike the same Dodge Caravan, this model did not have headlights with automatic adjusters, electric driver's seat adjustments, and offered rearview mirrors without not only electric adjustments but also without tinting. But, despite this, the car could not be called ascetic. All versions had a mechanism for quick removal of rear seats without using any tools. Depending on the trim level, the minivan was equipped with wheels and tires with diameters from 14 to 16 inches. Such models are constantly presented in the online store "Mosavtoshina".
