Шины на Plymouth Colt (Плимут)

Plymouth Colt, produced from 1970 to 1994, was created by Japanese Mitsubishi Motors, being one of the variants of the compact hatchback and sedan Colt and Mirage, which was designed for the North American market. Both cars were created as affordable and reliable compact cars, oriented towards the mass buyer, who required economy, practicality, and durable units. This model quickly gained popularity due to the successful combination of these features.

First Generation

The car, which debuted in 1970, was a copy of the Mitsubishi Colt, offering a classic layout for that time with rear-wheel drive, a lightweight body, and 1.3 and 1.6-liter engines of the 4G series. The equipment included a heater with a windshield defroster, a simple audio system, and adjustable ventilation deflectors — by the standards of compact models of those years, the set was typical. The power units were combined with a 4-speed manual or 3-range "automatic". The car was distinguished by a spring rear suspension, which significantly increased reliability on poor roads.

Second Generation

The next iteration car, released in 1974, still used the platform from the Japanese Mitsubishi, but this time from the more spacious Lancer model. The equipment was significantly better than that of its predecessor: improved seats with more pronounced lateral support, a revised instrument panel, and air conditioning available as an additional option.

Third Generation

In 1977, the North American brand introduced a car of the third iteration. It did not have a technical connection with its predecessor, as it turned out to be a copy of the Mitsubishi Mirage, a compact model with front-wheel drive and a different platform. The update brought a much wider range of options: electric rear window defroster, air conditioning in the base version. The salon was distinguished by the presence of a large number of niches and containers for small items. The engine range was still composed of power units with a volume of up to 1.6 liters, but a significant part of them was represented by new engines with an electronically controlled fuel injection system.

Fourth Generation

The car that appeared in 1979, of the fourth generation, was still based on the Mitsubishi Mirage, but already of a new generation, which debuted a little earlier. In addition to a different body design, it differed in engines: a 1.2-liter Orion family and a 1.6-liter Saturn family. The first was distinguished by impressive fuel efficiency, and the second — not so much power, but a "curve" of torque. It was with the 1.6-liter engine that the RS version was available with a stiffer suspension, an increased fuel tank, and a "sporty" interior design.

Fifth Generation

In 1985, sales of the car of the fifth iteration began, which was a restyled copy of the same model from the Mitsubishi line. It was available in a wide range of versions, including a hatchback, sedan, and wagon. The latter was equipped with the most powerful of the available 1.8-liter engine, along with an all-wheel-drive system. An important difference of the "American" version was the bumpers and rearview mirrors painted in the body color. A notable innovation was the salon: softer interior materials, new seats with a thoughtful geometry, and improved floor vibration isolation.

Sixth Generation

The sixth-generation car, whose sales started in 1989, was created on the basis of the Mitsubishi Mirage and was presented only as a 3-door hatchback, becoming the initial model of the North American brand. The engine range consisted of new 1.5 and 1.6-liter engines. The equipment included electric windows, central locking, an updated radio, and a more efficient heating system.

Seventh Generation

The final model was the seventh iteration, which appeared in 1993. This time, the line included a 2-door coupe and a 4-door sedan, representing copies of the Mitsubishi Lancer. Depending on the version, a 1.5- or 1.8-liter engine was located under the hood. The latter was available exclusively for sedans. Along with the components from the Lancer, the car received all the advantages of this model — stability and accuracy in handling, excellent ergonomics of the salon, as well as an extensive set of options, which already in the "base" offered air conditioning, an audio system, and electric windows.

For most instances of this model, disks and tires with a landing diameter from 1 to 15 inches were standard. In the online store "Mosavtoshina", they can be easily selected due to the vastness of the assortment of such models, regardless of the generation of the car and the conditions of its operation.
