The Mahindra Scorpio is the first SUV from the Indian manufacturer, which was introduced in 2002. For the European market, as well as Russia, the car was presented under the name Mahindra Goa. An important feature of this modification was the reduction of the engine volume to 2.5 liters due to the presence of taxes. This slightly affected the reduction of power parameters to 105 hp.

In 2006, 2009, and 2014, restyling was carried out, which affected the visual design of the car more. At the stage of the last facelift, an automatic transmission was installed, which did not particularly take root among consumers, and the car with it ceased to be produced in 2018.

Generation 2

In 2022, a new generation was presented under the name Scorpio-N, within which the car was significantly redesigned. The SUV has become larger, and its technical equipment has become as close as possible to modern automotive production. It is worth noting the presence of a full-fledged climate control with two zones, multimedia from "Sony" with an 8-inch touch screen, and many additional assistants. Of course, the all-wheel drive was not forgotten, which can be activated even while driving. Under the hood, a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 203 hp and 370 Nm is now installed. A diesel engine is also available with two execution options: 132 and 175 hp.

The first generation was produced in a circulation of more than 800 thousand copies, and the second - has so far reached a figure of 100 thousand.
