Tires on Lincoln Aviator (Линкольн)
The Lincoln Aviator is positioned by the North American manufacturer as a luxury mid-size crossover, an alternative to the more mass-market Ford Explorer. It has been produced since 2002.First Generation
The car's debut took place in 2002. It was created on the same platform as the third-generation Ford Explorer, representing a frame-based crossover. The key difference from the "original" apart from the exterior was the fully independent suspension of all four wheels. The car was offered in two trim levels - with rear or all-wheel drive. A V-shaped "modular" 8-cylinder engine with a volume of 4.6 liters was used as a power unit, which, in addition to a similar crossover from Ford, was used in medium-tonnage trucks of the North American brand. Its power was 302 horsepower. It worked in "pair" with a 5-speed hydromechanical "automatic". In 2005, the car was discontinued, and its successor, developed on the basis of the Ford Edge crossover, was named MKX.Second Generation
The return of the "aviator" to the brand's model range took place only in 2018. At the New York Auto Show, a concept was presented that, as it later turned out, differed little from the production version that debuted in 2019. The car uses the Ford CD6 platform, which has rear-wheel drive as standard. Nevertheless, it provides for the possibility of installing a four-wheel drive system. This model is technically very close to the Ford Explorer of the 6th generation, sharing not only the platform but also most of the components. First and foremost, this is the engine - a 3-liter V6 gasoline engine with a twin turbocharger. In higher trim levels, it is supplemented by a traction electric motor located on the shaft in the transmission, developing 101 horsepower. The total power of the hybrid power plant reaches 595 horsepower, and the torque - up to 854 Nm. It works in "pair" with a 10-speed "modular" Ford-developed automatic transmission. In its concept, the car is very close to the previously produced full-size minivans, differing from its "classmates" in a higher level of comfort and versatility in application. This somewhat limits the choice of tires for it. Nevertheless, a wide range of such models can be found in the "Mosavtoshina" online store.Advantages of selecting tires for the Lincoln Aviator on our website:
