Now the car was equipped with a more modern cruise control with an adaptive function. The fourth generation appeared under the alphanumeric name LS460, which was offered in both regular and extended sizes. Under the hood, a 4.6-liter V8 was now installed, which, together with the 8-speed automatic transmission, accelerated the sedan to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. XF50

The fifth generation debuted in 2017. Now the model received the name LS500, but under the hood, a less voluminous V6 with two turbines was installed. The power unit produced 421 horsepower and, together with the 10-speed automatic transmission, could accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
