GAC Trumpchi GS3 – a compact crossover from a Chinese manufacturer equipped with low-displacement engines. The model was presented in the PRC in 2017, and its full-scale production started in 2018.Generation 1
The first generation was based on the same platform as the GA3S sedan. Thanks to this, the car's design used many proven components, which positively affected the final cost of the vehicle.Two petrol engines were used as power units: a turbocharged 1.3, producing 137 hp, and a 1.5-liter "atmospheric" engine, capable of delivering 114 hp at its peak. Their work was complemented by a 5-speed "mechanics" or a 6-speed "automatic".
Generation 2
In 2023, a new generation was introduced, which received a different name in some countries (for example, GS3 Emzoom in the Philippines). In our country, the model name remained unchanged. It is based on the new GPMA platform, which is distinguished by its strength, dictating a new level of safety. Additionally, the car is equipped with an ADAS system, which includes 10 active "assistants", guaranteeing a significant reduction in the number of emergency situations.The new model stands out with its futuristic exterior design. The N-shaped radiator grille is complemented by fully LED headlights, which have a 3D effect at the back. The strict lines of the body emphasize its sportiness and dynamism.
The interior is also executed in a futuristic style. The front panel features two screens, one of which is the "instrument cluster". They are based on a high-speed system with an 8-core processor, providing a high level of performance. For comfort, there are heated and ventilated seats, including the second row. In addition, the front row has six-way adjustments, implemented using an electric drive. The interior design is complemented by a large panoramic roof.
Under the hood, only one power unit is now installed - a 1.5-liter engine with 170 hp and 250 Nm. According to the manufacturer, it is capable of consuming 5.9 liters per "hundred" in a mixed cycle, which is a fairly good economy indicator. It is complemented by a classic 7-position dual-clutch robot.
