Tyre reviews Landspider Arctictraxx 163

Excellent tires. There are a lot of spikes, and so far it's noisy - maybe it hasn't worn in yet, or maybe it's because of the number of spikes. You can say there's no noise in the car. The grip is decent, it bites well, aquaplaning can't be checked, there's only slush everywhere. And it digs into it, trying to grip. I haven't gotten stuck anywhere yet (knock on wood). It's soft, but it will probably wear out faster. I recommend it! The price-quality ratio is excellent! It brakes not like Goodyear, but noticeably better than many well-known brands. I think it's better than Kormoran, Nordman, and Yokohama, which I had before this one. Balancing was no more than 30g (and that was on one wheel).

Not louder than Michelin xin4bridgestoun 7000, it rides on rolled snow/ice decently, the sidewall holds decently, and it brakes decently as well. Down to -25° it maintains the softness/elasticity of the rubber compound, below that it becomes significantly harder (does not affect road behavior). It comes out of the rut excellently. Balancing is excellent. Megan2 has never been so passable and stable on a winter road (Sverdlovsk region). Here's a small video confirmation https://youtu.be/srRDSde0fyc?si=NPz5D0HyImYnjRbV

Balanced almost perfectly.
Strong sidewall, initially noisy, now quieter. On snow and ice, clear and confident.
Low price.

R18 in terms of price and quality! Surprisingly soft, they don't make much noise on dry roads, audible after 150, but such speeds are not needed in winter). They hold the road well, both on rough roads and on ice, haven't driven in deep snow yet). Based on first impressions, I recommend.

I'm writing this review again because the first one wasn't published.
I'm satisfied with the tires, especially at this price.
At first, they seemed a bit noisy, but they've quieted down over time.
The sidewall is sturdy, and they balanced perfectly.
On snow and ice, the handling is clear and understandable.- Vehicle:

The tires were a gift that came with the car, so my review is as honest as possible. The tires are 265/50/20. The first thing that caught my attention was the incredibly large number of studs. I thought they would be as noisy as the metro, but after 500 kilometers, the noise decreased by almost half. The studs settled into their places, and driving became more comfortable. In principle, they are slightly noisier than my summer tires. Now, about the main thing. This winter, 24-25, was almost completely snowless in our region. That is, the tire drove on bare asphalt for months, both dry and wet. Braking on it - rating 5. The handling also pleasantly surprised me. The icy asphalt holds perfectly (but you need to approach it with your head). Sometimes you forget that it's winter outside and you feel like giving it gas. Then, it snowed twice, but apparently, it was an advance payment for the entire winter. There was snow up to the bumper. I live in a private sector, so on that first day, I was worried when I was driving home from work. However, for nothing. The tire doesn't cut through the snow, it just tears it to shreds. It doesn't dig in, it doesn't skid - it just moves forward. The ABS also only kicks in at the very end (sometimes I thought, is this system even working for me?). On long turns, the stabilization almost never interfered. That is, it grips the road. It doesn't throw the car into a ditch, it doesn't hydroplane on water and mud. In short, the driving characteristics are simply wonderful. I have something to compare them to. I had GoodYear ArcticIce and Pirelli Ice Zero and Gislaved NordFrost 100. I'm not saying they're the best in all parameters, but they're definitely well-balanced for every ruble spent if you buy them. After a season on asphalt, only 4 studs were lost from all 4 wheels. The result is excellent, considering the car weighs 2 tons and has 250 horsepower.
But everything has its downsides. For this tire, I've only found one so far, but it's annoying. When accelerating on asphalt on my specimen up to 150 km/h and releasing the gas and driving in neutral, a nasty, annoying hum appears in the range of 145-135. The tires hit resonance with the tread, and even excellent soundproofing can't save you. The first time, I thought the bearing had "arrived". It turned out it was the tires. Here in the reviews, someone else had a similar issue, but at a lower speed.
In summary - If the tires don't turn into an egg over the winter, it's an excellent choice. Those who are looking for tires for a heavy and powerful crossover or SUV - take them boldly, if you're sorry to spend money on imported analogs.

I have experience with winter tires from Tunga, Kama, Norman 4 and 5, Gislaved, and Viatti. I bought Landsail to replace Viatti tires that didn't withstand two winter seasons and became all crooked and deflated through the studs (to put it mildly).
So, Landsail in size 205/55/16, visually well-made, soft, and with a lot of studs. Balancing was done with 3 wheels having a weight of 25-35 grams, and one with 45 grams, which is quite good. Performance on ice is very good, probably due to the number of studs, and starting is also good. On packed snow, it's similar.
Loose snow is handled excellently, and it grips very well. Wet snow, or slush about 1.5-2 cm deep, is handled well, but if it's deeper, the side that hits the slush tends to skid, and you need to hold the steering wheel more firmly. In puddles, it depends on the depth. The noise level is not high, and to me, it seems similar to Viatti in terms of noise.
Straight-line movement: on clean asphalt, I let go of the steering wheel, and it goes straight at both 90 km/h and 120 km/h. I maximally accelerated to 170 km/h, and it holds the road normally, without pulling or throwing the car around. Those who write that they have problems with it probably need to check their suspension rather than blaming the tires.
In principle, it's not bad budget-friendly tires. Of all the ones I've used, it's similar in quality and characteristics to Gislaved. All other brands don't even reach half of its quality.- Vehicle:

I want to add to my review from December 13, 2024.
I've driven about 10,000 km on these tires, all the studs are in place, although this winter has been warm and the asphalt has been open almost all the time. Many people write about the hum, yes, I also had it in the range of 70-100 km, but now the hum has disappeared, maybe the tires have worn in or I adjusted the pressure, I found the optimal pressure to be 2.3 atmospheres. I had 2.5, tried 2 and 2.1. So far, the tires are satisfactory.
