Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is an electronic system designed to monitor the air pressure inside the pneumatic tires on various types of vehicles
A TPMS can provide real-time tire pressure information to the driver of the vehicle, either via a gauge, a pictogram display, or a simple low-pressure warning light
TPMS are provided both as an aftermarket accessory and as an original equipment feature, with many vehicles now coming equipped as standard
TPMS typically employ one of two methods to measure tire pressure: direct or indirect
The direct method uses pressure sensors within each tire to transmit data to the receiver, while the indirect method uses the vehicle's anti-lock braking system (ABS) wheel speed sensors to compare the rotational speed of wheels and determine under-inflation
The indirect method is less accurate than the direct method and requires a learning process when the tires are inflated to the recommended pressure
The learning process involves the vehicle being driven for a certain distance and at a certain speed to allow the system to compare the rotational speed of each tire and establish a baseline
Once the baseline is established, the system can detect under-inflation by comparing the current rotational speed of each tire to the baseline
The TPMS is not a replacement for regular tire pressure checks, but rather a supplemental system to aid the driver in maintaining the vehicle's tires
Proper tire pressure can improve fuel efficiency, handling, and safety, as well as extend the life of the tires
In the event of a tire failure, the driver can receive a warning and take action to prevent a serious accident
Overall, a TPMS is an important safety feature that can help prevent accidents and improve vehicle performance
It is essential for drivers to understand the importance of tire pressure and to take steps to maintain proper tire pressure, including regular checks and using a TPMS to monitor tire pressure in real-time
By doing so, drivers can help ensure their safety on the road and the safety of others
Additionally, a TPMS can also help to reduce the risk of tire-related accidents, which are a significant cause of accidents on the road
In conclusion, a TPMS is a valuable tool for drivers to maintain proper tire pressure and improve vehicle safety and performance
It is a feature that should be considered when purchasing a vehicle, and drivers should take advantage of this technology to stay safe on the road- Size:

Good tires arrived on December 26, they were supposed to arrive by December 31, but one nuance - I ordered on December 11, they promised by December 21, and when I placed the order, they postponed it to December 31. I was upset, of course, but in the end, they arrived on the 26th, which pleased me. The date was balanced without any problems, thanks to the seller and Ozon company. The only thing that's not very convenient is that I had to go to the other end of the city because the delivery was through PEC company, and this company works at certain hours, which is a minus. But in general, I'm pleased with the tires and their quality, I recommend them for purchase.
