Tyre reviews Kumho I Zen KW23. Page 1 653

This tire is excellent for dry asphalt in winter. In principle, it’s its intended use, being a European, not a Scandinavian tire. It's robust and has withstood deep potholes, including at a decent speed. It also performed well in the mud. However, in the snow and on ice, it's nothing special. Before this tire, I had the Bridgestones VS-60, which behaved perfectly, while the Kumho was completely useless. In the city, the ABS

Kumhos take around 1000 miles or so to bed in before the grip feels more confident, although wheel spin in the wet can still be a problem. Cornering grip was pretty good and in snow the tyres provided good traction on long hills and so on. These tyres are not cutting edge, but they do provide additional safety in the ice and snow.

They are very good in cold and wet conditions. They feel even better still in the cold and wet with better grip than in warm and dry. They might not be very good for big vehicles as they are very soft.

On dry roads and, clearly, not as well as my summer tyres, but the best you could expect from a tyre with high performance in cold weather. The tyre wear is really good and, after a drive down to southern Spain and back from the UK, I've noticed no noticeable increase in road noise or fuel economy compared to my summer tyres. In the snow and ice they got my FWD car out, though deep snow is better suited to a snow plough and crossing frozen streams with ice

I can test the snow traction on these tires because it doesn't snow where I live. That being said, they get a lot of rain and they perform well in heavy rain conditions. I also love taking gravel roads on camping trips and these tires give me a higher level of traction than I can get with a standard road tire. Dry weather performance is good for the type of tire, I'd compare them to a full-size all-terrain tire on a truck or SUV. The tires performed as expected

I bought four Kumho KW23 winter tyres a few weeks ago and only after a few days of driving have they really shown how good they are. I live in a hilly part of Bradford and as it was an early start I thought I'd try out some of the untreated hill roads by me. I went up a hill I'd avoid with my regular tyres, I kept the button on the throttle and not once did the wheels skid. The roads are covered in snow and a lot of

Allround good tire doesn't expect the best, but it does a good job in snow/cold weather! Steal of a deal I'm very soft, so if the car is parked for a day or 2 the car may scrape when it finally stops after 5 minutes.

The tire really proved itself last winter, very good in snow and ice, little wear. Apart from the level, and the high noise level there's nothing to complain about. The tire has proven itself on snow and ice, very good on wet roads as well. On dry asphalt the tire is loudly quiet, but that's just a detail. A successful purchase!

Normal tire. On ice without studs, of course, it's not that good, but overall - it's very good. HOWEVER: the tire is absolutely not for those who "go into the turn at 200 km...". For adequate city driving and suburban areas - it's okay, for "autobahn racers" - sorry.
