I used to buy Triangle 777 studs and Gislaved NordFrost spikes for several cars, these tires were completely satisfactory. But there were discounts, so I bought Cordiant last year. I liked their aggressive tractor pattern and increased load index of 92 (instead of 88), which indirectly guarantees greater durability on frost-broken roads. In my city, the most severe conditions are in the courtyards, where you can only get stuck in the snow, under which there is also ice, and based on experience, ANY Scandinavian-type winter tires (coarse toothed pattern) cope with this, as long as they retain their softness (the first 5-7 years), after which they start to get stuck due to the rubber becoming harder. European-type tires work poorly in these conditions from the start (not very toothed tread with rounded edges), the car skids more, which is bad for the automatic transmission. Cordiant suited me well and copes with the task well. Like all winter tires, it holds the asphalt (dry and wet) poorly, but sorry, it's physics. Compared to studded tires, non-studded tires don't work on ice, especially on thawed ice, especially on the highway, where speeds are high. Therefore, you have to drive with a huge margin of caution. In short, you need to drive slowly always, everywhere, and brake much earlier, because if you hit the ice, it will be too late. But on the other hand, there is no noise from the studs. It's a paradox, but during a mild winter, studs hold better, but there is also more discomfort, because at night there is ice, and during the day it's just wet, and the studs make noise. In general, I have one car on studded tires and the other on non-studded tires, and you can take either one depending on the weather and route. As for Cordiant, the price is a drawback. I would never have bought them without a discount. Because Chinese tires are cheaper, they drive perfectly and perfectly pull out of the courtyard. As for how they drive, I don't know yet, the Chinese tires held up normally, but it remains to be seen with Cordiant. For those who need inexpensive tires that are better on asphalt but worse in snow, choose Belshina (the Eurozimka turned out to be great, friends drive and don't complain). Viatti is also good, but there are many complaints that they wear out quickly, although maybe they've fixed it, but I didn't take the risk.
