New Bridgestone Truck Tires

At the recently held Reifen-2012 exhibition, Bridgestone presented two new truck tires in the Ecopia line. According to the developers of the Japanese company, Bridgestone Ecopia H-Steer 001 and Ecopia H-Drive 001 are the most environmentally friendly and economical truck tires in the company's over eighty-year history.
In the production of both tires, the NanoPro-Tech rubber mixing technology was used, which reduces energy loss in the compound of the upper layer during wheel rotation. This affects the reduced rolling resistance and, as a consequence, the reduced fuel consumption while driving. At the same time, the manufacturer assures that the reduction in rolling resistance did not negatively affect the other operational qualities of the tire.
These tires have already been tested by the independent organization TUV Automotive GmbH. The tests showed that this is indeed the case. Bridgestone Ecopia H-Steer 001 has a rolling resistance 18.9% lower than other models in the Ecopia line, and Bridgestone Ecopia H-Drive 001 has a rolling resistance 26.5% lower. The fuel consumption of both tires is 4.4% lower than that of other Bridgestone tires.
These models have been supplied to leading automakers since last year, and starting from 2013, the Ecopia tire line will officially be expanded for ordinary car owners.
