Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003

The summer tire Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003 is installed on pickups and SUVs. It was developed to replace the model with the G001C index. Like its predecessor, it is most effective on dirt roads with reduced carrying capacity. In such conditions, it demonstrates high traction, directional stability, and a long service life. It can be used at reduced internal pressure.

The tread pattern is made in a symmetrical non-directional design with a large number of blocks. The structure of their arrangement guarantees high longitudinal adhesion when moving both forward and backward. In the central part, the blocks have a large inclination. In combination with their elongated shape and "chess" arrangement, this reduces rolling resistance, increases directional stability, and promotes more even pressure distribution on the road surface.

The blocks have a complex polygonal shape with long multidirectional edges. Together with their great height, this allows the tire to effectively grip the soft road surface. In the shoulder areas, a significant part of the blocks "go" to the sidewalls. This solution increases traction when driving on particularly difficult off-road sections.

The sidewalls of the tire have a design optimized with regard to the features of off-road operation. It includes a 3-layer polyester cord. The dense arrangement of synthetic fibers, along with the use of a special rubber compound, guarantees the resistance of this part of the tire to any mechanical damage.

In addition to the sidewalls, the breaker, located directly under the tread, has been strengthened. It has a "hybrid" structure. In addition to the standard 2-layer steel for tires of this category, 1 nylon cord is used here. Synthetic fibers are arranged in a spiral without any seams or joints. The resulting structure has significant strength and stiffness while being lightweight. Off-road, this reduces the risk of mechanical damage, and on highways and stony dirt roads, it improves directional stability, reduces rolling resistance, and wear.
