The summer tire Yokohama Geolandar G98EVX is designed for those SUVs and crossovers that are primarily operated on paved roads. The HT category model demonstrates its strongest sides on such a surface. These include traction properties on a wet road, acoustic comfort at high speeds, and durability.
Symmetrical Tread
The tire features a tread with a classic symmetrical non-directional pattern. However, its development involved modern computer modeling technologies, which puts its effectiveness at a very high level. In particular, the shoulder blocks are composite, being divided into two parts. They are connected by rigid bridges, which significantly expands their functionality. In addition to high efficiency during braking and cornering, such a design guarantees excellent directional stability and handling responsiveness. It's also worth noting the solid longitudinal rib in the center, which also improves these operational properties.
Improved Rubber Compound
The tread is made from a compound that improves almost all of the tire's main characteristics. Almost two-thirds of its composition is high-dispersion silica. This component improves traction on a cold, wet road, providing very close contact between the tread and the road, and also prevents abrasive wear.
