Description Yokohama Advan A035
Yokohama Advan A035 — a wheel tool for extreme loads. It's a radial model developed exclusively for gravel rally stages and forest special stages. Unlike standard civilian tires, every detail here is subordinated to one goal — maximizing grip on loose and slippery surfaces.
Duality
The tread is built on a directional asymmetric scheme, where each zone solves its problem. The outer V-shaped zone — here are the aggressively shaped blocks. They are responsible for directional stability on fast, slippery turns. When entering a turn at high speed, it is this zone that prevents the front axle from drifting.
The inner zone — smaller S-shaped blocks play the role of an anti-slip system. Their task is to cling to small gravel and mud during sharp acceleration and braking, which provides maximum traction.
Multi-compound structure
The manufacturer offers four options for rubber compound, which allows you to select a tire for a specific type of soil:
- SS — for extremely low temperatures or ice inclusions in the soil;
- S — optimal for cold and wet stages;
- M — universal balance for dry and hard soils;
- MH — for high temperatures and abrasive surfaces.
This flexibility allows teams to tune the car to a specific gravel or asphalt temperature, which is critical for winning multi-day races
Power frame
The model is designed to survive in the toughest conditions. Unlike civilian tires, a reinforced multi-layer frame with high-density protective layers in the breaker is used here. The special sidewall design resists cuts from sharp stones.
Key features of Yokohama Advan A035:
- a directional tread with asymmetry provides maximum efficiency on gravel and forest surfaces;
- a combination of V-shaped outer blocks and S-shaped inner elements ensures confident acceleration and braking on loose soils;
- availability in four compound options, allowing the tire to be adapted to any weather and road conditions;
- reinforced design with sidewall protection provides resistance to cuts and punctures.
