The WestLake SV308 summer tire is specially designed for passenger cars and is distinguished by its reliability and safety. When manufacturing the tire, special attention was paid to the tread pattern and carcass, which made it possible to achieve excellent operational qualities. The use of the latest equipment and the best materials made it possible to obtain a model that fully meets world standards.
Directional tread design
The directional design of the WestLake SV308 tread has improved the tire's handling when driving at high speeds. The central continuous rib provides excellent stability when driving in a straight line, making the handling as clear and predictable as possible. The elongated blocks of the shoulder area are arranged at a certain angle, which has achieved maximum stability during maneuvers. Two deep channels quickly remove water from the tread, preventing possible aquaplaning. A large number of small notches reduce noise when driving, making trips as comfortable as possible. The new tread structure provides a maximum contact patch, increasing stability and handling at high speeds.
Reinforced carcass
When driving at high speeds, the tire is subjected to maximum loads, which increases the number of damages and ruptures. To minimize these negative consequences, a reinforced carcass is used in the tire. It is made from the latest materials, using a new cord laying technology. To reduce the risk of tread rupture in its central part, a special steel ring is used, which also increased the stiffness of the central part of the tire. It was possible to improve the distribution of pressure inside the tire, which prevented uneven wear and increased the contact area with the road surface.
