Vredestein Wintrac Pro+

The Vredestein Wintrac Pro+ winter tire is positioned by the manufacturer as a model for passenger cars and crossovers with enhanced dynamic properties. It is designed for use in regions with so-called "mild" winters, which determines its maximum effectiveness primarily on wet and snowy roads.

The tread pattern draws attention to itself, first of all, with an extremely high density of lamella cuts. Numerous slots are located just a few millimeters apart, forming a total of several thousand sharpened edges. All of them are located transversely relative to the direction of movement, which ensures high acceleration and braking intensity on the most slippery surfaces. In the shoulder areas, these slots are supplemented with special "activators" that further increase the height of the formed edges, which significantly increases the longitudinal grip. The effectiveness of these elements is significantly enhanced due to the rubber mixture with a composition based on natural rubber and "silica", along with special polymers that are elastic even at very low temperatures.
