The Vredestein T-Trac 2 summer tire is the next step in the development of so-called "energy-efficient" models. As you know, their first generation was distinguished by excellent fuel economy indicators at mediocre traction properties, especially on wet roads. This model is an attempt to get rid of these and many other drawbacks while preserving the existing advantages. Among the distinctive features of this tire, it is worth noting not only excellent fuel economy indicators and traction on wet roads, but also sporty-tuned handling with a good level of comfort.
Optimized rubber compound
A significant part of the universal properties of this model is ensured by the optimized characteristics of the tread rubber compound. One of the distinctive features of its composition is the increased content of silicon-containing components of the new generation. Their application in combination with the latest production technologies made it possible to give the tread a whole range of important properties. First of all, this is excellent traction on wet roads, even lower rolling resistance, as well as high resistance to abrasive and uneven wear, punctures, and cuts, which ultimately provided the tire with a very long service life.
Excellent resistance to aquaplaning
As mentioned earlier, the first "energy-efficient" Vredestein T-Trac 2 tires were distinguished by mediocre traction properties on wet roads. When developing this model, particular attention was paid to this aspect of operation. In addition to the silicon-containing rubber compound, it is distinguished by a tread pattern with a very efficient drainage system. Its main components are three longitudinal grooves. They are characterized by a significant internal volume, which allows to remove a large amount of water from the contact patch through numerous transverse grooves, thereby ensuring excellent resistance to aquaplaning.
Low noise level
Among other distinctive features of this model, it is worth noting the high level of driving comfort, including acoustic comfort. To achieve this, the Dutch tire manufacturers applied a multi-step arrangement of tread blocks, which made it possible to minimize the risk of occurrence and development of resonant noises and vibrations.
Stable and sporty-tuned handling
Since the developers of this model sought to give it universality, it's no surprise that it has an asymmetric tread pattern. Its original design contains a large number of massive tread blocks. Their significant size made it possible not only to increase the contact patch area but also to improve resistance to dynamic deformation. This, in turn, gave the tire stable behavior at any speed and the quickness of responses to steering wheel turns, which significantly simplifies the process of driving a car.
