All-season passenger tire Toyo Proxes CT1, produced by one of the leading Japanese tire manufacturers, was specifically designed for luxury class sedans. The tire is produced in 7 most popular sizes, starting from 195/65R15 and ending with 275/35R18. Such a range of sizes allows this model to be used not only on powerful luxury sedans but also on more compact city cars.
The tread of this model is equipped with a symmetrical non-directional pattern, distinguished by its original design. To improve directional stability when driving at high speeds, as well as handling, a wide longitudinal rib with high structural rigidity is located in the center of the tread. Another distinctive feature of the Toyo Proxes CT1 tire is its very low noise level. Japanese tire engineers were able to achieve this by applying several technical solutions. Firstly, all tread elements were placed with an uneven pitch, which significantly reduced the likelihood of resonance noise and vibration. Secondly, the walls of the four drainage grooves, located along the entire tread, have a special design that reduces the noise caused by air passing through these grooves.
It is also worth noting the excellent traction on the road that the tire demonstrates during rain. This was also achieved by applying a whole complex of technical solutions. In particular, the tire tread is equipped with four longitudinal grooves, which are distinguished by their sufficient width and depth. In addition, silica-containing components were included in the rubber mixture, which improved traction on wet surfaces.
Main features of Toyo Proxes CT1
- an additional longitudinal rib in the shoulder areas increases the stiffness of this part of the tread, which improves handling when cornering;
- excellent traction in wet conditions, thanks to a silica-containing rubber mixture and a highly efficient drainage system;
- a low noise level is ensured by the uneven pitch of all tread elements and the special design of the side walls of the drainage grooves.
