Description Roadstone N'Blue Eco
The Roadstone N'Blue Eco summer tire was actually developed by specialists from the South Korean company Nexen, which owns this brand. In addition, this model belongs to a line of so-called "energy-efficient" tires, while being designed for powerful high-speed passenger cars of various classes. In other words, we have an Ultra High Performance tire category, which, in addition to excellent speed characteristics, is distinguished by low rolling resistance and a very long service life.
High level of safety on wet roads
When developing this model, the South Korean tire manufacturers paid special attention to ensuring maximum traction properties on wet roads. To achieve this goal, they used the wide possibilities of an asymmetric directional tread pattern, equipped with a high-performance drainage system. It consists of four longitudinal drainage grooves that serve as a kind of reservoir for water, which is diverted from the contact patch. Then, all this excess moisture is directed outward through the tread via a network of transverse channels, providing the tire with excellent resistance to aquaplaning.
Rigid shoulder areas
Another point of attention for the South Korean tire manufacturers was the tire's Roadstone N'Blue Eco traction properties during significant lateral accelerations, i.e., when cornering. To achieve this, the shoulder areas of its tread were significantly strengthened by increasing their size. This gave the blocks located here increased resistance to deformation, which, in turn, provided the tire with excellent stability during sharp maneuvers.
In addition, the rigid construction of the shoulder areas significantly improved the characteristics of external pressure distribution across the contact patch. This significantly increased the tread's resistance to uneven wear, thereby extending the life of the tire.
Main features of the Roadstone N'Blue Eco tire
- excellent stability during sharp maneuvers and cornering is ensured by the reinforced construction of the shoulder areas, whose blocks have excellent resistance to deformation;
- exceptional traction properties on wet roads are ensured by the high resistance to aquaplaning, achieved by the excellent performance of the tire's drainage system;
- low noise and vibration levels due to the 5-step arrangement of the tread blocks.
