The summer tire Pirelli PZero GEN-2 NCS is designed for the most dynamic versions of passenger cars. It represents a special modification of the same model. It differs in increased acoustic comfort, for which a special technology was applied in the tire design. In all other respects, both tires are practically identical to each other.
Comfortable ride on bad roads
The abbreviation NCS in the tire name means the use of Noise Cancelling System technology in its design. The essence of the innovation is the application of a layer of special polymeric material with a high porous structure to the inner side of the tread. The multitude of small voids, combined with its elasticity, effectively prevents the transmission of noises and vibrations from the tires to the body elements. This has a positive effect on the acoustic comfort inside the car, especially on uneven roads.
Improved traction on wet surface
The significantly updated, compared to the previous model, tread pattern is characterized by the presence of an increased number of blocks on the inner side. The long and curved transverse edges formed by them allow for intense acceleration and deceleration on a wet surface. It is worth noting the use of a rubber compound with an extremely high content of "silica". This allows the tread to fit very tightly even to a cold, wet road surface.
Updated rubber compound
In addition to the high content of "silica", the compound used in this model is distinguished by the presence of special polymers in its composition. Acting on the rubber compound at the molecular level, they reduce the heating of the tire during prolonged high-speed driving, which reduces rolling resistance and prevents premature destruction of the tread.
