This is largely due to the tread pattern, which contains many drainage grooves that divide it into separate functional zones, each of which provides a solution to a strictly defined set of tasks.

The central part of the Pirelli GTS24 tread pattern is characterized by high structural rigidity, making it resistant to dynamic deformations. This feature has been further enhanced by a special profile shape, which was "borrowed" from other sports touring models of the Italian tire giant. All this together has made it possible to significantly improve the directional stability, especially when driving at high speeds. This is largely due to the fact that the Italian tire manufacturers decided to increase their size by reducing their number. At the same time, the curved shape of the drainage grooves has made it possible to significantly increase the speed of water removal from the contact patch, which has significantly increased the performance of the entire water drainage system as a whole.
