All-season tire Nokian NRC is designed for use in compact commercial vehicles operating on short-distance transportation. It is characterized by increased strength and resistance to damage, improved traction on wet and snowy surfaces, as well as ease of handling when the tire is subjected to significant weight loads.
The tread pattern is made in a classic design for commercial models of small size. It represents a combination of four solid longitudinal ribs. The massive elements located close to each other are distinguished by increased resistance to deformation, which ensures good directional stability at high speed, simplifies control over the trajectory of movement during maneuvering, and also reduces rolling resistance and prevents rapid wear of the tread. Another important feature of the pattern is the presence of serpentine transverse grooves. These elements significantly minimize the formation of a continuous water film between the tire and the road surface, even with significant tread wear. It is worth noting the use of a rubber compound that, while being resistant to abrasive wear and cracking, still retains a significant amount of elasticity at low temperatures. This noticeably increases the efficiency of the tread pattern elements, allowing them to more closely hug the wet road surface, increasing traction with it.
Key features of Nokian NRC:
- the tread pattern with massive longitudinal ribs is adapted for use in conditions of prolonged exposure to significant weight loads on the tire;
- serpentine grooves reduce the risk of aquaplaning, maintaining this ability even with significant tread wear;
- optimized rubber compound, resistant to abrasive effects and cracking, as well as maintaining elasticity at low temperatures, increasing traction on wet surfaces;
- the profile of the tread from large commercial tires reduces wear and rolling resistance, increasing traction stability during maneuvering
