The winter tire Nexen Winguard Spike 3 in the studded version is perfect for use in regions with the coldest climate. On any snowy and icy roads, it demonstrates reliability in handling and stable traction and braking properties, while maintaining a low noise level, vibration, as well as providing good fuel economy.
The tread pattern is executed in a bright "Scandinavian" design with a large number of V-shaped grooves. In the shoulder zones, they intersect with each other, forming cross-shaped elements that additionally increase the grip properties on snow, along with providing high intensity of removal from the contact patch of a heavy mixture of water, snow masses, and road dirt. In the central part, numerous blocks form a continuous longitudinal rib, reducing rolling resistance and wear, increasing directional stability at high speed. Another feature of the tread is the use of 3D lamellas. Several thousand notches with saw-toothed edges maintain the tire's effectiveness on icy surfaces, easily penetrating through the water film, providing reliability in handling on such slippery roads. This ability is noticeably enhanced due to the "winter" rubber compound, which remains soft even in extreme cold.
Main features:
- increased acoustic comfort and smoothness of ride, reduced rolling resistance due to the absence of studs;
- "Scandinavian" tread pattern with V-shaped arrangement provides stable grip and ease of handling on any winter roads;
- optimized compound with high "silica" content remains soft at extremely low temperatures, enhancing grip properties on snow and ice.
