The tread pattern stands out with a "winter" design, which is dominated by large blocks of polygonal shape. This provides a contact patch with a large number of differently directed edges, which increases traction on loose unstable snow-covered surfaces. The lamellas cut into the blocks provide them with grip on wet pavement, rolled snow, and ice. A special cutting method lengthens their edges as the tread wears out, maintaining its effectiveness on such surfaces.
