The Michelin X Multi Grip D commercial tire is designed for intensive and long-term use throughout the year. It is installed on the driving axles. It is characterized by exceptional traction and adhesion properties on slippery winter surfaces, "signature" for commercial tires of the French brand mileage.
The tread pattern stands out with a "winter" design, which is dominated by large blocks of polygonal shape. This provides a contact patch with a large number of differently directed edges, which increases traction on loose unstable snow-covered surfaces. The lamellas cut into the blocks provide them with grip on wet pavement, rolled snow, and ice. A special cutting method lengthens their edges as the tread wears out, maintaining its effectiveness on such surfaces.
