Michelin Agilis Camping – summer tire, the scope of application of which includes minibuses, crossovers and SUVs used not only in urban conditions, but also in light off-road. Among the features of the model, one can highlight the asymmetric tread with a developed rib structure in the central zone, which promotes improved handling at speed, as well as stabilization of directional stability.
In the tire, the manufacturer used a special compound, which is supplemented by a number of polymeric components, as well as silicon dioxide. This has been reflected in the increased wear resistance, as well as improved traction properties on wet asphalt.
The non-directional tread pattern is equipped with a large number of micro-edges, which, like "claws", reliably fix the contact area, increasing the traction efforts, including off-road. Their action is enhanced by the shoulder blocks of increased area, which excellently stabilize the vehicle during maneuvering.
Despite the closed shoulder zones, the tire effectively copes with water and mud drainage. For this purpose, three wide ring channels and smaller grooves are provided. Therefore, even driving on wet asphalt is not able to cause the appearance of such a negative effect as hydroplaning.
Main features of Michelin Agilis Camping:
- summer operation on SUVs, minibuses and crossovers with the possibility of driving on light off-road;
- multi-block tread with a developed edge effect not only maintains the efficiency of traction properties but also reduces the risk of aquaplaning;
- two wide central ribs improve handling and also perform the role of a directional stabilizer;
- wide shoulder zones with pronounced segmentation guarantee the stability of the vehicle's position during maneuvering.
