Maxxis NP-3 (Studless) – a winter tire for passenger vehicles that features improved traction properties on icy and snowy roads, increased traction, and rapid cleaning of the contact area.
The directional symmetric tread pattern with a central rib ensures stable straight-line driving, while the presence of large block elements in combination with zigzag lamellas neutralize lateral skidding. The sidewall area with rectangular blocks stabilizes the vehicle when cornering, making maneuvering as predictable as possible.
The developer paid special attention to the rubber compound, in which the FDSS technology is used, representing high-dispersion silicon dioxide. This element contributes to the uniformity of heat dissipation, keeping the compound elastic under various temperature regimes. And this, in turn, has a positive impact on the efficiency of traction.
The presence of a reinforced breaker suppresses vibrations and also prevents the occurrence of ruptures when driving over sharp objects. Thanks to this, the service life of the tire is significantly increased.
