Winter tire for passenger cars Matador MP-51 Sibir 2 is designed taking into account the complex climatic conditions of regions located near and north of the Arctic Circle. It is distinguished by increased traction and coupling properties on snow and ice, comfort of handling at any speed, low noise and vibration levels, and smooth ride.
The directed tread pattern is a combination of numerous blocks. In the central part, the elements have a complex polygonal shape, allowing them to form additional multidirectional edges. This significantly increases the traction and coupling properties on snowy surfaces. The blocks are arranged with partial overlap, forming a virtually continuous longitudinal rib, which reduces rolling resistance, noise, and wear without compromising the tire's handling qualities. Another important feature is the use of 3D lamellas in the tread pattern. They form hundreds of sharpened edges of sinusoidal shape, which increase traction and braking intensity on any slippery surface, including compacted snow and ice, complementing the studs. They are arranged in such a way that when moving, they form a continuous chain of steel elements, providing stable coupling on icy surfaces.
