Summer passenger tire Matador MP-44 Elite 3 is addressed to owners of small and medium class passenger cars. This model is offered by the Slovak manufacturer in 34 sizes with a rim diameter of 15 or 16 inches. One of the key features of this tire is its excellent adaptability to high-speed driving. This is unequivocally hinted at by the high-speed indices assigned to it - from T to W.
Original design of asymmetric tread pattern
As in most other summer models of this manufacturer, the tread pattern of the Matador MP-44 Elite 3 tire is divided into two parts with different functional purposes. The outer side of the tread is "responsible" for stability during sharp maneuvers. That's why this functional zone has a closed design and massive tread elements.
The inner part of the tread pattern has a large number of individual blocks separated by wide drainage grooves. The numerous edges formed by them provide excellent traction on a wet surface. At the same time, the transverse drainage grooves, located at a significant angle, intensively remove water from the contact patch.
High braking efficiency
This model is favorably distinguished by a short braking distance, both on dry and wet asphalt. This was achieved thanks to the equipping of the shoulder zones of the tread with massive rectangular blocks. At the same time, special lamellas are located on the surface of each of them, which provide the tire with a softer ride.
Excellent directional stability and stable handling
On the outer side of the tread, there is a very rigid longitudinal rib. This tread element performs several very important functions. First of all, due to it, it was possible to significantly improve the directional stability during straight-line movement. In addition, thanks to the location of this rib on the outer side of the tread, a more stable behavior of the tire is achieved when passing turns.
