Matador MP-30 Sibir Ice 2

The Matador MP-30 Sibir Ice 2 winter tire is positioned by the Slovak manufacturer as a replacement for the MP-50 model, which has proven itself, including in our country, on the best side. The novelty surpasses its popular predecessor in all important operational characteristics.

One of the advantages is the coupling properties on icy surfaces. This is mainly due to the use of computer modeling tools, which were actively used in the development of the stud scheme. Its elements are arranged on the tread in such a way as to provide their uniform wear, improved traction and coupling properties on ice, and the absence of resonant noise and vibrations. In addition, the stud body is made of aluminum. The "winged metal" reduced the weight of the tire and, accordingly, the degree of aggressive impact on the road surface.

Another important innovation was the use of lugs of several types at once. In the shoulder areas of the tread, three-dimensional lugs are used, which are connected to each other by special blockers. This solution made it possible to significantly increase the density of lamellization, which led to an improvement in the coupling properties on rolled snow and ice. In the central part of the tread, there are direct lugs that provide better performance when accelerating on a slippery surface.
