Description Marshal KRS28
The Marshal KRS28 truck tire is designed for installation on the steering axles of high-tonnage trucks used in interregional transportation. This model is distinguished by a multi-rib design of the tread pattern, containing a significant number of gripping edges. Additionally, it is worth noting the reduced rolling resistance, which, in combination with a relatively low cost, makes the operation of this tire economically more efficient.
Dual central rib
One of the characteristic features of the tread pattern of the Marshal KRS28 tire is the dual longitudinal rib located in its center. This element of the tread, due to its high resistance to dynamic deformation, has made it possible to significantly increase the speed and accuracy of the driver's commands, which significantly facilitates the process of managing the vehicle. Additionally, the presence of a sufficiently massive and rigid element in the central part of the tread contributes to the optimization of pressure distribution over the contact patch, which improves almost all the main operating characteristics of the tire.
A large number of gripping edges
Despite the relatively small number of individual tread elements, it contains a sufficient number of transverse gripping edges. They are formed by numerous transverse lamellas located on the surface of all three longitudinal ribs located in the central part of the tread pattern. Thanks to this, it was possible to significantly improve the braking efficiency, especially on wet roads.
Reinforced construction of the shoulder areas of the tread
In contrast to the central part, the shoulder areas of the tread are very massive and wide longitudinal ribs, devoid of any individual elements. In combination with a wear-resistant rubber compound, this makes them very durable and rigid, which has made it possible to significantly improve a number of characteristics. First of all, this is an increase in the size of the contact patch, the shape of which has become close to rectangular, which contributes to the optimization of the uniformity of external pressure distribution over it. As a result, the tire demonstrates very stable and predictable handling, as well as excellent resistance to uneven wear.
Key features of the Marshal KRS28
- the tire is designed for installation on the steering axles of trucks and buses;
- the multi-rib design of the tread pattern provides excellent directional stability and high fuel efficiency;
- excellent reliability and resistance to uneven wear due to the reinforced construction of the shoulder areas of the tread;
- speed and accuracy of the driver's commands, thanks to a very rigid dual longitudinal rib located in the center of the tread pattern;
- wide and deep drainage grooves with "stone ejectors" provide excellent traction on dry and wet roads.
