Description Laufenn S-Fit2 LK12
If you need a summer tire that won't make you guess about the predictability of your car's behavior, take a look at the Laufenn S-Fit2 LK12. This is a model for passenger transport, designed around an undirected asymmetric tread. This geometry allows you to separate areas of responsibility: the outer side is responsible for grip on dry asphalt, the inner side - for water evacuation and stability in the rain.
Asymmetry against aquaplaning
The asymmetric tread uses different angles of inclination of grooves and blocks on the left and right halves of the contact patch. This provides fast water drainage - large circumferential grooves work like a drainage system, not allowing the water wedge to lift the tire. Even with a water layer of up to 7-8 mm, the tire maintains contact with the road surface.
The central circumferential grooves, the widest in the model, are the first to meet water and instantly direct it to the shoulder areas.
Ribbed structures
The tread is divided into several longitudinal ribbed structures. Each rib is equipped with notches and micro-grooves, and their orientation changes from the center to the edge of the tire. It is this multidirectionality of the engaging edges that performs three tasks:
- dampens lateral body oscillations during sharp maneuvers;
- prevents skidding on a turn;
- increases directional stability.
In other words, the tire itself centers the car, reducing the number of steering manipulations.
Low noise level
The block pattern is optimized using the method of random variation of arc lengths. This disrupts the resonant frequencies that usually create a monotonous hum. In the cabin, you will only hear an even and quiet rumble, comparable to premium tires of a higher price segment.
Key features of Laufenn S-Fit2 LK12:
- summer model for a wide range of passenger cars;
- clear separation of functional areas of the tread: outer shoulder for dry coverage, inner - for wet;
- ribbed structure with multidirectional engaging edges provides handling sensitivity and stability against lateral skidding;
- numerous notches increase the number of engaging edges without losing block stiffness;
- optimized block pitch for low noise level.
