Laufenn tires have been included in the Seat Ibiza and Arona lineup

Hankook continues to strengthen the position of its Laufenn brand in the original equipment segment, and the recently introduced summer tire Laufenn S Fit 2, which was previously fitted to the Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen Golf, has also been homologated for the Seat Ibiza and Arona - a hatchback and crossover that are currently key models of the Spanish brand owned by VW Group.

Last year, the Ibiza and Arona took 4th and 5th place respectively in the list of best-selling cars in Spain, and the Laufenn tires, which are supplied in sizes with a diameter of 17 and 18 inches, are designed for both everyday city use and long trips, and are created taking into account the climatic diversity of European countries and local road conditions.

According to Hankook, thanks to a rubber compound with a high silica content and an optimized tread block design, the braking properties on a wet surface have been improved by 16% compared to the first-generation tires, and the four wide straight grooves are designed to provide quick water drainage and reduce the risk of aquaplaning. In addition, the engineers have worked to ensure that the level of grip remains stable at high temperatures, while reduced vibrations and noise increase the level of comfort, and fuel efficiency has been improved by 12% thanks to the use of new-generation polymers in the compound.

The Laufenn S Fit 2 has also entered the Russian market, and a full review of the novelty can be read here.
