Approved tires for Seat Leon: Laufenn

Hankook will supply summer tires Laufenn S Fit 2 for the original equipment of the 5-door hatchback Seat Leon, one of the most popular models from the Spanish brand belonging to the Volkswagen group, the tire company's press service reported. 

Hankook added that thanks to its efficient use of interior space and broad range of powertrains, the Leon has consistently maintained popularity in global markets, including Europe, and the tires for its fitment “were optimized considering the car’s practicality and sporty characteristics, combining improved braking performance with extended tread life.”

The Laufenn S Fit 2 is designed for use in various climatic and road conditions. Its high-silica rubber compound, combined with an optimized tread block structure, improves wet braking efficiency by 16% compared to the previous generation. The tread pattern features four wide straight grooves that accelerate water evacuation, and the tires are engineered to ensure stable grip and handling at high road surface temperatures. Reduced noise and vibrations enhance ride comfort, while the new-generation compound extends tread life by 15%. For the Leon, the tires are supplied in sizes 205/55 R16 and 225/40 R18. 

Hankook has recently been expanding its Laufenn tire supply to Volkswagen, and the S Fit 2 model was previously approved for the Seat Ibiza and Arona, Volkswagen Golf and Polo, as well as the Skoda Octavia.
