Description Jinyu YW60 Winterpro
When creating the Jinyu YW60 winter passenger tire, its developers were guided by the experience of their Japanese colleagues, who have mastered the creation of non-studded models that demonstrate good traction on ice and compacted snow. To a large extent, this explains the presence of a fairly specific list of strong points in this tire.
Good ice traction without studs
In the absence of studs, this tire demonstrates confident behavior on ice. This is ensured by several technical solutions. First and foremost, it is several thousand lamellas that, when in contact with the road, form a corresponding number of traction edges. In terms of effectiveness, they are more than equivalent to studs, outperforming them in durability. The lamellas are cut through the entire depth of the tread. Additionally, their walls have a three-dimensional structure, which limits the mobility of the blocks in all directions. This manifests itself in the form of stable traction properties and predictable handling.
Another factor contributing to increased ice traction is the special micro-pumps located at the corners of the blocks. These miniature elements dry the icy surface in the contact patch area.
Clearly defined "edge effect"
When driving on icy and snowy roads, this model demonstrates good resistance to skidding. This is ensured by the "edge effect", which, in turn, is formed by the design of the shoulder areas. They contain a multitude of high rectangular blocks. A significant part of the traction edges formed by them is located transversely, which provides increased directional stability and traction during maneuvering.
Key features of the Jinyu YW60 tire
- several thousand 3D lamellas more than compensate for the lack of studs;
- an optimized design of the shoulder areas, containing a multitude of four-sided blocks with straight edges, provides reliable traction during maneuvering and directional stability on ice and compacted snow;
- increased elasticity of the rubber compound even at low temperatures improves the traction properties of the tread on any winter roads.
