Interco TSL Thornbird

Released by the famous North American manufacturer, the Interco TSL Thornbird is a light truck tire with increased off-road capability designed for SUVs, pickups, and light trucks.

The non-directional symmetric tread pattern of the tire has a very original design. In the center of the tread, there are two rows of individual blocks. A distinctive feature of each row is the alternation of blocks of different lengths and configurations, which made it possible to significantly increase the contact patch area of the tire, thereby improving traction on hard surfaces. Additionally, the arrangement of blocks in a checkerboard pattern made it possible to significantly reduce the noise level and also reduce rolling resistance, making driving on regular roads more comfortable and smooth.

A distinctive feature of the Interco TSL Thornbird tire is its unique two-level construction of the shoulder areas, which consist of many mud catches, some of which form two additional rows of individual blocks in the central part of the tread. When driving on the highway, only the central part of the tread pattern works, and the mud catches located in the shoulder areas begin to work in both directions of movement only when entering mud or deep snow. According to the manufacturer, thanks to the innovative tread pattern design, one tire combines the advantages of highway and off-road tires.
