They prevent aquaplaning when maneuvering, maintaining stability in such conditions. It is provided by the increased width and stiffness of the blocks located here, which, in addition to this, create a clear feedback on the steering wheel, making it much easier to control the trajectory of the vehicle's movement. When driving straight, these properties are ensured by the resistance to deformation of the ribs in the central part. They also slow down the wear process of the tire's tread due to the uniform distribution of pressure on the road surface.
