Summer tire for passenger cars Hankook K127C Ventus S1 Evo3 is designed specifically for their most dynamic versions. It is characterized by excellent stability and sporty handling at any speed, reliable traction on wet surfaces.
The tire tread is made of HSSC rubber compound. Its composition uses highly purified fine silica powder, which is vulcanized at low temperatures for twice as long as in most tires of the overwhelming majority of other brands. This increases the uniformity of the compound, improving driving performance and increasing resistance to abrasive wear.
The breaker located directly under the tread contains a cord made of aramid fibers. It increases the stiffness of the entire structure, improving traction properties when starting and initial acceleration. The carcass itself is a multi-layer cord made of synthetic materials with a "seamless" winding, which is characterized by high strength and resistance to deformation. This solution reduces rolling resistance and prevents uneven wear of the tread, increasing the stability of traction properties and the accuracy of handling at high speeds. These features are enhanced by the increased stiffness of the rim, which reliably fixes the tire on the wheel disk.
The asymmetrical tread pattern also contains many effective solutions. One of them is the numerous grooves in the outer shoulder area. They prevent aquaplaning when maneuvering, maintaining stability in such conditions. It is provided by the increased width and stiffness of the blocks located here, which, in addition to this, create a clear feedback on the steering wheel, making it much easier to control the trajectory of the vehicle's movement. When driving straight, these properties are ensured by the resistance to deformation of the ribs in the central part. They also slow down the wear process of the tire's tread due to the uniform distribution of pressure on the road surface.
