High lamella density
The tread pattern features a high density of lamellas. Narrow slits are located a few millimeters apart from each other. As a result, the contact patch with the road surface grips it with hundreds of sharp edges, providing the tire with reliable traction on wet and icy surfaces. The presence of such a large number of slits has virtually no effect on handling. The vertical surface of the lamellas contains special grooves that, when in contact with the road surface, interlock and fix the slits in an open position, limiting the mobility of the blocks. As a result, in addition to excellent traction, stable and predictable handling is ensured. It is worth noting the presence of special lamella activators - additional longitudinal slits. When the block comes into contact with the road surface, they open the slits across its entire area.
Stability in any conditions
The tread pattern has been optimized in a special way. Under the load of the vehicle's weight, it increases the size of the contact patch with the road surface, giving it a nearly square shape. In motion, these features manifest themselves in the form of increased stability of traction properties, fast and accurate response to driver actions. Additionally, this solution significantly reduces the level of abrasive impact on the tread, reducing its wear rate.
Wet traction
This model is equally well adapted for operation on both ice and snow, as well as on wet pavement. This is largely due to the configuration of the drainage grooves. The curved, widening shape of these elements as they approach the edges of the tread, combined with their direction against the direction of motion, allows them to evacuate water from the contact patch with very high intensity. Thanks to its excellent resistance to aquaplaning, the tire demonstrates excellent traction on wet surfaces.
