A distinctive feature of this tire is the asymmetric design of the directional tread pattern, which provides excellent performance characteristics when driving on any winter roads. In addition, the tread of the Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance tire is equipped with exclusive 3D-BIS lamellas, which significantly increase the stiffness of the tread in the area of contact with the surface, which greatly improves the effectiveness of braking, especially on slippery surfaces. At the same time, thanks to a special cutting technology, as the tire wears out, the length of the lamellas gradually increases, which allows maintaining all the main working characteristics of the tire at a consistently high level throughout the entire period of operation.
The composition of the rubber mixture was selected taking into account the specifics of using the tire on slippery surfaces and at negative temperatures of the external environment. To ensure high performance characteristics of the tire in such unfavorable conditions, silicon-containing components (silica) were included in its composition. Today, silica has found very wide application in the tire industry due to its unique properties. Thanks to the use of this component, this model is distinguished by excellent elasticity, high resistance to abrasion, and excellent grip on slippery surfaces even at negative temperatures.
