Goodyear Eagle Sport TZ

The Goodyear Eagle Sport TZ summer tire is designed for compact and mid-size passenger cars in their most sporty versions. It is characterized by a reinforced structure, adapted to long-term movement at high speeds, a long service life, and a rim design that prevents mechanical damage to the wheel disk.

"All-season" tread pattern

The tire is equipped with a tread that was previously used in the Eagle Sport All-Season model, developed for the North American market. This solution provides the tire with improved traction properties on slippery road surfaces. A feature of the tread pattern is the presence of an increased number of lamellas for summer tires. In addition to their large number, these narrow slits are also distinguished by their significant length, which further increases the effectiveness of the tread in difficult road conditions.

Reinforced carcass construction

This model retains most of its operational properties even with significant tread wear. This is largely due to the presence of a reinforced breaker with an additional cord. This element, located directly under the tread, provides it with better resistance to deformation, reducing wear rates and protecting against mechanical damage when driving on uneven surfaces.

Optimized compound

During the development of the tire, much attention was paid to increasing its operational resource. To a significant extent, this was achieved through the characteristics of the rubber compound. It includes special polymers that provide high strength of the tread to tearing and stretching at the molecular level, thereby preventing its wear due to abrasive and thermal effects. Additionally, this solution provides resistance to punctures and cuts.

Wheel disk protection

The part of the sidewall adjacent to the rim is equipped with a special ridge. It is located directly above the wheel disk flange, preventing its mechanical damage when in contact with both curbs and road surfaces during strong lateral accelerations.
