Released by the famous Canadian manufacturer, the Goodride SW606 winter studded tire is designed for small and medium-sized passenger cars.
The design of the directional V-shaped tread pattern has a bright, memorable exterior. Thanks to the chosen type of pattern, this tire has excellent traction and a short braking distance on snow and icy roads. The tread pattern contains one solid rib, located in the central part of the tread, two very wide shoulder areas, and two ribs consisting of separate blocks of complex geometric shape.
The V-shaped structure of the tread's constructive elements allows for the maximum increase in the contact patch area without compromising other important operational characteristics of the tire. This provides good traction and grip when driving on snow with the Goodride SW-606 tire. Two longitudinal grooves separating the central rib of the tread, in combination with a system of diagonally arranged channels, provide effective removal of water, snow, and slush from the contact patch, making driving more confident in adverse weather conditions.
A distinctive feature of the tread pattern of this tire is the reinforced shoulder areas, equipped with massive blocks with studs installed on them and a rounded profile. This shoulder area design is effective when cornering and driving on snow-covered and icy sections. The entire tread of the Goodride SW606 tire is covered with zigzag-shaped lamellas, which, without compromising the stiffness of the main tread elements, also provide a good level of traction and braking on snow and ice.
