This component gives the tire elasticity, improving its grip on wet surfaces, while maintaining its resistance to abrasive wear at a high level. The tread pattern itself is distinguished by an increased volume and direction of drainage channels against the direction of motion. This reduces the risk of aquaplaning. On dry surfaces, stability is ensured by the massiveness and rigidity of the solid longitudinal rib in the center and blocks in the shoulder areas.
